Before you go at El Dorado Park West

• If you want one of the group picnic sites, book it — there are only four and they go by reservation, on the same phone line as the community center rentals.
• The community center office is only staffed 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, so anything that needs a person behind a desk has to happen in that window.
• Before you bring a group, read the city's picnic and open-space rules sheet — it is a separate document linked from the park page, not something posted at the tables.
• This is the west half of El Dorado, on Studebaker Road: skate park, disc golf, tennis center, duck pond. The nature center and the lakes are across the road in the East park, which is a different entrance.
