Before you go at Art Theatre Long Beach

• The 4th & Cherry public lot is the theatre's own first recommendation, and it's under a minute's walk to the door — but it takes credit cards only, so don't turn up with just cash.
• Never use the lot immediately behind the theatre next to the liquor store; those spaces belong to other businesses and cars there get towed regularly.
• Street parking exists all round the neighborhood but goes early, especially Friday and Saturday nights.
• Read the street-sweeping and residential-permit signs before you walk away — Long Beach enforcement is quick about it.
• Give yourself about 20 minutes before showtime purely to park; the free electric Circuit shuttle and the 151 bus along 4th Street are the alternatives if you'd rather skip it.
