Observe some of the wild animals that call the cemetery home while learning more about this historic graveyard. Let's go for a walk in the cemetery! Join us at Mountain View Cemetery in Altadena for a serene wildlife walk. We'll observe the many wild animals that call the cemetery home (including birds, squirrels, and coyotes), identify flowers and plants, and learn more about some of the locally famous gravestones around us.
Before you go at Pasadena Humane
- You can just turn up to meet the adoptable animals — there is no appointment system for adoptions.
- Every counter runs the same hours, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week, so there is no quiet weekday-only window to aim for.
- If you are coming in about a found animal, a lost pet, or pet support rather than to adopt, that is the Animal Resource Center and they want you to ring ahead on 626.792.7151 ext. 997.
- The Shelter Shop sits on the corner of Del Mar and Raymond, which is a different corner of the block from the main Raymond Avenue address.
